Editors' Review

Download.com staff
This gargantuan program gives your Windows XP system a makeover in a successful attempt to resemble Mac OS X. Though we were impressed with how FlyakiteOSX redesigned our system, the lengthy installation process was a big turnoff. The program lets you skin Windows XP, with its preconfigured themes and icons that change the entire look of your desktop. However, FlyakiteOSX offers only two themes and a limited settings dialog. You can opt to install more editing tools that are bundled with the program, such as ObjectDock and WinRoll. Unfortunately, you'll need to restart your PC whenever you tweak some settings. Despite some drawbacks of this freeware, we doubt you'll have any complaints with the appearance of your polished desktop.

Developer's Description

Transform the Windows XP desktop to look like Mac OS X.
Transform the look of an ordinary Windows XP+ system to resemble the look of Mac OS X. The installer simply automates the process of replacing critical system files, setting registry tweaks, and installing extras such as cursors, sounds, and visual styles.
